Carley Fortune is the #1 New York Times and #1 Globe and Mail bestselling author of Every Summer After and Meet Me at the Lake. Her third book, This Summer Will Be Different, is set to release on May 7, 2024.

As an award-winning journalist, Carley has served as an editor at some of Canada's premier publications, including The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine, Toronto Life, and The Grid. She ascended to the position of Executive Editor at Refinery29 Canada, distinguishing herself in the field of journalism.

Her debut novel, Every Summer After, is a reflective work that delves into the themes of childhood affections, first loves, and the indelible impact of people and decisions on our lives. Meet Me at the Lake weaves a compelling narrative about two individuals who find solace and connection in one another during pivotal moments in their lives, first in their early twenties and then a decade later.

Carley's background in journalism is solidified by her Bachelor of Journalism degree from Toronto Metropolitan University. She has lived in both the suburbs of Sydney, Australia, and Barry's Bay, a quaint lakeside town in rural Ontario, which serves as the backdrop for her first book.

Currently residing in Toronto with her husband and two sons, Carley continues to engage audiences with her storytelling, eagerly anticipated in her forthcoming novel, This Summer Will Be Different.
