Beth Fantaskey

Beth Fantaskey is an American author known for her work in children's and young adult fiction. She embarked on her literary journey after earning an English degree from Shippensburg University and a Ph.D. in media history from Penn State. Before becoming a celebrated author, Fantaskey dabbled in various professions, including speechwriting and journalism.

Her debut novel, Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, was a significant success, selling over 45,000 copies in its first few months of publication. This success marked the beginning of a prolific career that would encompass a range of beloved books, including Jessica Rules the Dark Side, Jekel Loves Hyde, Buzz Kill, and the middle grade novel Isabel Feeney, Star Reporter.

Fantaskey resides in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where she draws inspiration for most of her books. She is also a member of the faculty at Susquehanna University, sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with aspiring writers. Her personal life is filled with the joy of a loving family, including her husband, three children, and a collection of pets, each with its own unique character.
