Aya Nakahara

Aya Nakahara is a talented Japanese manga artist born on July 28, 1973. She is acclaimed for her work in the romance and romantic comedy genres. Nakahara made her debut in 1995 and quickly gained recognition for her unique storytelling style.

Her most notable creation is the Lovely Complex series, also known in Japan as ラブ★コン (Love★Com). This series is a romantic comedy about a tall high school girl who falls in love with a shorter boy. The manga was extremely successful and won the 49th Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo manga. It inspired a feature film and a 24-episode animated television series and has been translated and published worldwide.

Among her other works, Dame no Watashi Koishite kudasai R (ダメな私に恋してくださいR) is also noteworthy.
