Apsley George Benet Cherry-Garrard was a celebrated English explorer of Antarctica. He was born on 2 January 1886 and passed away on 18 May 1959. Cherry-Garrard is best known for his participation as a member of the British Antarctic Expedition (1910-1913), which was led by Robert Scott. His most famous work is the critically acclaimed account of this expedition, titled The Worst Journey in the World. This book provides an extraordinary narrative of the hardships and extreme conditions faced during the expedition.
