Antonia Lloyd-Jones is a British translator specializing in Polish literature based in London. She is renowned for being the long-time translator of Olga Tokarczuk's works into English. Notably, she translated Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead, which was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2019.
Antonia has served as the former co-chair of the Translators Association in the United Kingdom from 2015 to 2017. She is also a mentor for the Emerging Translator Mentorship Programme at the National Centre for Writing, where she has guided several early-career translators from Polish into English.
In 2018, she was honored with the Transatlantyk Award for being the most outstanding promoter of Polish literature abroad. Her translations encompass works by several of Polandβs leading contemporary novelists, writers of reportage, crime fiction, poetry, and children's books.
