Anna Rosling Rönnlund

Anna Rosling Rönnlund is a renowned Swedish designer who, together with her husband Ola Rosling, developed the innovative Trendalyzer, interactive software for visualizing statistical information. The software was sold to Google in 2007, and both Anna and Ola continued its development until August 2010.

In 2005, Anna co-founded the Gapminder Foundation with statistician and father-in-law Hans Rosling, where she serves as the vice president for design and usability. In 2016, she announced the launch of Dollar Street, a website that visualizes how people of varying cultures and incomes live around the world.

She spoke at the TED conference in 2017, where she eloquently explained the power of data visualization. The same year, she collaborated on the book Factfulness with Hans Rosling and Ola Rosling.

Anna values the benefits of working on projects with her family. She has spoken about the flexibility and openness that come with working alongside her husband, and fondly recalls her children joining her on stage at times. On November 5, 2018, Anna and Ola Rosling were honored with honorary doctorates at the University of Skövde.
