Anna Banks is an American author, best known for her New York Times best-selling Syrena Legacy series. Mad Hatter Entertainment, producer on the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, has acquired movie rights to her Syrena Legacy series.

Banks grew up in a town called Niceville, Florida. Her writing career has spanned from 2012 to the present, focusing primarily on young adult fantasy. Some of her notable works include Of Poseidon, Of Triton, Of Neptune, Joyride, and How To Lose A Bachelor. Under the pen name Anna Scarlett, she authored Degrees of Wrong.

Anna is known for her humorous personality, exemplified by her anecdote about stealing a car at age 12 and driving across three state lines. Despite living in Florida, she humorously claims to be the only person without a tan.
