Ann Maxwell (born April 5, 1944), also known by her pseudonyms A.E. Maxwell, Elizabeth Lowell, Lowell Charters, and Annelise Sun, is an acclaimed American writer. She has penned more than 50 novels and one non-fiction book, both individually and in collaboration with her husband, Evan Maxwell. Her literary works span a diverse array of genres, including science fiction, historical fiction, romance, mystery, and suspense.
Ann Maxwell's writing career began in 1975 with her debut science fiction novel, Change. Since then, seven out of her nine science fiction novels have been recommended for the Science Fiction Writers of America Nebula Award, highlighting her significant contribution to the genre.
