Angie Kim is a Korean-American author renowned for her work in the genre of crime fiction. Having moved from Seoul to the United States, Angie pursued her higher education at Stanford University and thereafter at Harvard Law School. Her literary journey began with the publication of her first novel, Miracle Creek, in 2019. This debut not only garnered critical acclaim from prestigious outlets such as The Washington Post and The New York Times but also earned her the esteemed Edgar Allan Poe Award for the best first novel in 2020.
Before embarking on her writing career, Angie's formative years were spent in the suburbs of Baltimore after her move from South Korea as a preteen. She attended the Interlochen Arts Academy and majored in philosophy at Stanford. Her time at Harvard Law School was marked by her role as an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
