Andrew "Andy" Kubert is an acclaimed American comics artist renowned for his extensive work in the superhero genre. Born into a family of artists, he is the son of legendary comic artist Joe Kubert and the brother of fellow artist Adam Kubert, as well as the uncle of comics editor Katie Kubert.
Andy is not just a gifted artist but also an educator; he graduated from and now instructs second-year classes at The Kubert School, an institution dedicated to cartoon and graphic art founded by his father. Kubert began his noteworthy career as a letterer at DC Comics, where he contributed to titles like Sgt. Rock and Adam Strange, as well as the crossover Batman Versus Predator with Dark Horse Comics.
His talents were further recognized at Marvel Comics, where he illustrated various X-Men titles, including The Uncanny X-Men and Ultimate X-Men, and was instrumental in the success of the "Age of Apocalypse" storyline in 1995. Kubert's prowess also shone through in his artwork for Ultimate Iron Man.
Returning to DC in 2005, Kubert's artistry graced storylines such as Batman: Cacophony, "Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?", "Blackest Night", "Flashpoint", and The Dark Knight III: The Master Race. Collaborating with writer Grant Morrison, they co-created the character Damian Wayne during their run on Batman.
