Andrez Bergen is an expatriate Australian writer, journalist, DJ, artist, and ad hoc saké connoisseur who has been living in Tokyo, Japan, for over 15 years. He has performed and released electronic music under the name Little Nobody.
Bergen has contributed to numerous publications, including Mixmag, The Age, Australian Style, VICE, and the Yomiuri Shinbun. His literary repertoire includes six novels, three graphic novels, and five comic book series.
His fiction has been published by Perfect Edge Books, Shotgun Honey, Snubnose Press, All Due Respect, Roundfire Fiction, Dirty Rotten Comics, Crime Factory, Open Books, and Another Sky Press. Additionally, he adapts scripts for films by notable directors like Mamoru Oshii, known for Ghost in the Shell.
Aside from his writing, Bergen also delves into music production and runs IF? Commix. He previously operated the indie/experimental record label IF? Records for 14 years.
He currently resides in Tokyo with his wife, Japanese artist Yoko Umehara, and their daughter, Cocoa.
