Andrew Ross Sorkin

Andrew Ross Sorkin (born February 19, 1977) is a prominent American journalist and author. He serves as a financial columnist for The New York Times and is a co-anchor of CNBC's Squawk Box. Furthermore, he is the founder and editor of DealBook, a financial news service published by The New York Times.

Sorkin is well-known for writing the bestselling book Too Big to Fail and co-producing its movie adaptation for HBO Films. Additionally, he is a co-creator of the Showtime series Billions.

He is recognized for his role as the chief mergers and acquisitions reporter and columnist for The New York Times. In addition to his writing, Sorkin frequently appears on NBC's Today show and on Charlie Rose on PBS, and he often guest hosts CNBC's Squawk Box.

Sorkin's work has earned him several prestigious awards, including the Gerald Loeb Award for breaking news in 2004 and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers Award for breaking news in 2005 and 2006.
