Amy Ewing, the daughter of a librarian, had a childhood deeply influenced by books, which paved her path as an author. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. Her debut young adult fantasy novel, The Jewel, not only became a New York Times bestseller but also gained international acclaim. Additionally, she is known for her debut novel for adults, The Irish Goodbye. Beyond writing, Amy is also a freelance editor.

Currently, Amy resides in New York City, sharing her home with her senior rescue chihuahua, Sam, and an extensive collection of books.
