Amish Tripathi

Amish Tripathi is an acclaimed author, former diplomat, and broadcaster from India. Born on 18 October 1974, he is recognized as one of the fastest-selling authors in Indian publishing history. He is best known for The Shiva Trilogy and the Ram Chandra Series.

Amish's literary works have achieved remarkable success, with over 7 million copies sold and translations into 20 Indian and international languages since 2010. His debut book, The Immortals of Meluha (Book 1 of the Shiva Trilogy), marked his transition from a career in financial services to full-time writing. Passionate about history, mythology, and philosophy, Amish finds beauty and meaning in all world religions.

In addition to his writing career, Amish served as Minister (Culture & Education) at the High Commission of India in the UK and as Director of the Nehru Centre, London from 2019 to 2023. He is also known for hosting TV documentaries, most recently for Discovery TV in Legends of the Ramayana, The Journey of India with co-host Amitabh Bachchan, and Ram Janmabhoomi: Return of a splendid sun.
