Alexander Jovy is a talented film director born on 27 January 1971 in Berlin. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Switzerland. Alexander pursued higher education in England, studying Law at the University of Buckingham. Despite training as a solicitor, his passion for cinema led him to leave his legal career behind and venture into filmmaking.
With minimal formal training in film, Alexander produced a short film titled Holiday Romance, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film in 1998. Jovy's commitment to the cinematic arts continued with his involvement in a film production group known as the Chahaya group. His ambitious project, Cyrus, focuses on the life of Cyrus the Great and is touted as "the biggest independently financed film in history."
In 2009, he directed The Flirting Club, a unique film project that featured actors chosen through online auditions and public voting. In 2011, his novel I am Cyrus was published by Garnet Publishing, further showcasing his diverse storytelling talents.
