Alex Gino (born October 1, 1977) is a genderqueer American writer known for their children's books. They are celebrated for their debut book, Melissa, which won the 2016 Stonewall Book Award and the 2016 Lambda Literary Award in the category of LGBT Children's/Young Adult literature.
Gino loves glitter, ice cream, gardening, awe-ful puns, and stories that reflect the diversity and complexity of being alive. As a genderqueer individual, Gino uses singular they pronouns and the honorific Mx.
