Aimee Carter is an American writer known for her works of children's and young adult fiction. She was born on January 24, 1986. Carter is a graduate of the University of Michigan and has authored over a dozen books.

Her notable works include The Goddess Test series, The Blackcoat Rebellion series, and The Simon Thorn series for middle grade readers, which has become a #1 international bestselling series under the title Animox. Her newest middle grade book, Curse of the Phoenix, is set to be released in June from Margaret K. McElderry Books.
