Abimbola "Abi" Daré is a Nigerian author and public speaker residing in Essex, England. She is known for her literary debut with the novel The Girl With The Louding Voice, which was published to critical acclaim in 2020. Abi's educational journey includes studying law at the University of Wolverhampton and obtaining an M.Sc. in International Project Management from Glasgow Caledonian University. She also holds an MA in Creative Writing from Birkbeck University of London.
In 2018, Abi Daré's talent was recognized when she won the Bath Novel Award for unpublished manuscripts. She was also a finalist in The Literary Consultancy Pen Factor competition that same year. Her inspiration for writing The Girl With The Louding Voice stemmed from her two daughters.
Abi Daré grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, and has been a resident of the UK for over eighteen years. She currently lives in Essex with her husband and two daughters.
